Touring Golf Pty Ltd is an Australian tour operator built on a simple idea: the best golf tours should be about more than golf. The courses we play sit in landscapes rich with history, culture, and stories worth knowing. We believe combining championship golf with these experiences creates something no golf-only tour can match.
Our inaugural tour, Fairways & Frontlines, brings this vision to life. It's a 14-day journey through France, Belgium, and Switzerland that pairs six world-class courses — including the 2018 Ryder Cup venue, the Evian Championship course, and the European Masters course — with an immersive exploration of Australia's most significant First World War heritage sites.
No other tour operator combines these two experiences. We created Touring Golf because we believed they should be combined, and because we believed there were golfers who would agree.

Pat Carmody
Host
Pat Carmody is a lifelong francophile and a golfer of more than 30 years. After playing some of Europe's finest championship courses and being deeply moved by the Australian story written into the battlefields and memorials of France and Belgium, he began taking friends on what became an annual pilgrimage — golf by day, history by evening, and great food throughout.
Those trips became the blueprint for Fairways & Frontlines. Pat has walked the fields of Fromelles, played Le Golf National, Evian, and Crans-sur-Sierre, and stood beneath the Menin Gate — where the name of his great-uncle, killed in the First World War, is inscribed among more than 54,000 Commonwealth soldiers with no known grave. That personal connection is not incidental to the tour. It is the reason the heritage stops are never rushed, and why this journey exists at all.
Pat is your host on every Touring Golf tour — the person who makes sure the tee times run smoothly, the coaches arrive on time, and the weight of the memorial sites is given the space it deserves. He is not a tour guide reading from a script. He is a golfer who has done this journey many times and wants to share it with you.
Michael Court
Co-Host
Michael Court is one of Australia's most experienced golf journalists. A former Sports Editor of the Sydney Daily Mirror, Editor of Australian Golf Digest, and NSW Editor at The Golfer, Michael has spent decades writing about the game at the highest level. He is currently a staff contributor for Inside Golf, Australia's most-read golf magazine, covering NSW and ACT.
Michael has played and reviewed courses across Australia and around the world, and brings a storyteller's eye to every round. He has played all six courses on the Fairways & Frontlines itinerary — Le Golf National, Palingbeek, Golf Club d'Amiens, Golf de Preisch, Evian Resort, and Crans-sur-Sierre — and as co-host on the inaugural tour, he adds a depth of firsthand knowledge and an easy, engaging presence that will make every round feel richer.
The Company
Every Touring Golf tour is personally hosted from start to finish. Pat Carmody is the host for all Touring Golf tours — he is there for every round, every transfer, and every memorial visit. Co-hosts join Pat to ensure you always have two experienced, engaged people looking after the group. For the inaugural Fairways & Frontlines tours in September 2026, that co-host is Michael Court.
This is not a bus tour with a microphone. It is a small group of 14 golfers accompanied by people who know the courses, know the history, and genuinely care that you have the experience of a lifetime.
