About the Trip
Fairways & Frontlines is a 14-day journey that does something no other tour operator offers: it combines six rounds on championship golf courses with an immersive exploration of Australia's most significant First World War heritage sites across France and Belgium.
The golf is world-class. Le Golf National hosted Europe's 2018 Ryder Cup victory. The Evian Resort course, host of one of women's golf's five majors, sits on the shores of Lake Geneva. Crans-sur-Sierre, high in the Swiss Alps, is home to the European Masters. Between these marquee rounds, you'll play a course built on a WWI battlefield at Palingbeek, a parkland classic in the Somme, and a tri-border course straddling France, Luxembourg and Germany.
The heritage is deeply personal. You'll visit the Sir John Monash Centre at Villers-Bretonneux, stand at the Menin Gate for the Last Post, and walk the fields where Australians fought at Fromelles, Pozières, and Passchendaele. These are not cursory stops — they are the emotional core of the tour.
Limited to 14 golfers and personally hosted by Pat Carmody and Michael Court from start to finish, Fairways & Frontlines is golf travel with meaning.
